Casino Buffet Tip

[Farmer’s Pick Buffet in Isle Casino in Black Hawk, CO. Photo: Isle Casino] The thought of visiting casinos conjures up several stereotypes, from the glittering slot machines and bustling table games to the all you can buffets. This latter casino staple, most known for its cheap eats in the City of Sin, Las Vegas, the casino buffet has a home in Colorado as well.

Although you won’t wind sprawling buffets at all of Colorado’s gambling halls, there are a handful of casino restaurants with buffets to choose from. Out of the 3 casino towns in the state, only buffets can be found in Black Hawk and Cripple Creek. The casinos in Central City are without them to our knowledge.

Seasons Buffet at The Lodge Casino – Black Hawk “Your 1st choice for fun!” The Lodge Casino is a locals’ favorite with a big sized casino, a myriad of games and unique amenities like its attached hotel and buffet. You must be 21+ to dine at the Seasons Buffet. Every day there is a breakfast buffet from 7:30am to 10:30am. If I head to the Bellagio buffet where there is a good level of service (i.e., my glass is never empty and the plates are cleared), usually my tip is 15%. If I go to the casinos in Chicago where you get your drink and the plates are rarely cleared, I leave NO tip. Happily, we move around the casino floor completely oblivious to the fact that these gambling establishments are employing casino psychology tricks to keep us playing and spending more. There’s a reason why the casino almost always wins. The following are 12 tricks casinos use to manipulate gamblers into playing for as long as possible. We had a great buffet brunch at the Joseph Ambler Inn outside of Philadelphia. It was a little pricey at $35 per person which includes all of what you would expect on an Easter Sunday meal including soft drinks.

Because these buffets are located inside the casino, you’ll need to be 21+ to dine. It’s best practice to sign up for the local casinos awards program. This can track your time spent playing and reward you with discounts at some of these very same restaurants. Plus these free programs are free to sign up for and often required for the member pricing at most of these restaurants. Casino parking usually located on-site in a free parking garage.

Best Buffets in Black Hawk and Cripple Creek, CO Casinos

To really make your Gilpin or Teller County casino day a trip to remember, be sure to do more than gamble. You can play casino games virtually anywhere, there are online casinos for that. Instead soak in the local culture, and make sure you get a bit to eat, or two, or three. Go up as many times as you feel to the buffet.

Sometimes you’re hitting the table hard and need to fill up on all you can eat grub, to soak up the free booze and slow down play. Other times it’s just fun to feel like you’re actually beating the house (in terms of money spent) by enjoying the flexible nature of restaurant buffets. Here are the best casino buffets in Colorado:

The Wynn Buffet – First Impressions

First impressions at any restaurant will always come from the décor. How does it hit you when you walk through the door? Does it look like somewhere you’re going to want to spend time?

In this case, you’ll be entering a building that is made up of high ceilings with beautiful flower arrangements, crown molding, lots of awnings, and large atrium space. It feels at once quite grand and premium, without being in any way intimidating or daunting – it still has a friendly and quite intimate feeling.

The layout lends itself well to all kinds of groups and parties. It’s easy to get something to eat from one of the 15 stations, and there’s plenty of room to move around.

Wynn Buffet Food and Menu Items

But you don’t go to a buffet in order to look at the décor! Of course, you go for the food.

Wynn Buffet Breakfast Options

For breakfast and brunch, you get everything that you would expect, ranging from eggs, to pancakes, to chorizo potatoes, to French toast. And if you’re someone who enjoys eating large cooked dinners for breakfast then you still have that option!

Wynn Buffet Lunch and Dinner Foods

Of course, the main meals come out at lunch, at which point you’ll find a whole lot of standard buffet favorites, things like grilled vegetables, chicken wings, chili, mac n’ cheese. There are numerous different meats to pick from too that are cooked fresh. Then there’s the salad bar for you to duly ignore! (Though for the health conscious there are plenty of choices such as quinoa salad, kale salad, and more.)

Dinner brings even more delicious meats carved fresh, along with different cuisines such as an Asian area with options like Peking duck. Dessert is also a veritable smorgasbord of incredible treats.

In short, there’s pretty much everything you could hope to find somewhere like this. And not only that, but all these delicious foods are cooked to delicious perfection. Nice touches, like getting juice in little bottles rather than plastic cups, remind you that this is one of the top buffets around.

The Wynn Buffet Prices

If you want to eat at the Wynn Buffet (located near the back of the Wynn Casino), it will cost you a little more than your run-of-the-mill Vegas buffet. That’s to be expected however, given the status of the venue and the high caliber of the food being offered up.

Wynn Buffet Tips and Extras

There are a couple of extra costs that you might find your meal incurs, depending on your intended purpose. For instance, you should be aware that there is a very large queue when you attend during the busier periods and this can cause waits of up to an hour each visit.

One way around this problem is to pay an additional small cost of $10 per person in order to skip the line between Monday and Friday. This amount goes up however during brunch and weekends, at which point it will increase to $16 per person.

Reviews of the Wynn Buffet:

If you like, you can shell out a little more too. If you are willing to pay for the $20 VIP pass, then you will not only skip the queue but you will also be given a ‘free’ glass of sparkling wine or sangria. This will also entitle you to 10% off of the next day’s buffet.

Finally, for those that are looking to celebrate, there is also an ‘all you can drink’ add on fee. This is called ‘Endless Pour’ and it includes your pick of draft beers, sparkling wines, regular wines, cocktails, and more. This lasts for two hours – but is undoubtedly very good value if you plan on knocking a couple of beers back with your dinner.

Casino Buffet Pittsburgh

This is one of the best buffets in Vegas and for good reason. It sells fantastic food with a truly gigantic selection, it has lots of options, and it’s beautifully laid out. It is a little more expensive though, and you could find yourself paying more than you expected too if you decide you want to jump the queue rather than wait for a long time.
