Stellaris Casino is an upscale and elegant establishment located within the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort. This Marriott property is a luxury Costa Rica resort hotel nestled between the warm waters of the Pacific and a 1,100-acre tropical rainforest. The casino and resort are both owned by Marriott International, a worldwide hospitality company which manages successful lodging establishments in many different countries.
The casino grants easy access to Costa Rica adventures including horseback riding along Jaco Beach and hiking through Carara National Park.
Getting to the resort is a relatively easy task where your starting point will be the Juan Santamaria International Airport in the capital of San José. The casino is 60 miles Southwest from the airport and is accessible via most major airline services. From the airport, you can hire a taxi which will cost approximately 143 USD (one-way) or you can take a rental car which will cost you about the same.
The casino has a strict dress code which stipulates that you must wear elegant clothing or at the very least be dressed formally. You must be at least 18 years old to enter the casino.
Stellaris Casino at Los Suenos Marriott Ocean Resort
The casino is not a very large one by Las Vegas standards but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in elegance. Stellaris is open daily from 2 PM to 1 AM. The gaming floor is neat and tidy with waitresses walking around serving drinks and snacks to players.
The atmosphere of the casino is pretty casual and even though it has an elegant theme to it, gamblers of all skill levels are invited to try their luck. The games are not suited for high rollers and if you are looking for high limit tables then this probably not the right casino for you.
Table Games at Stellaris Casino
Stellaris Casino has a total of 10 table games out on the main floor. Most of the tables at this casino are dedicated to blackjack, with 4 tables hosting Romy Blackjack. You can play PairsPlus as an optional side bet at any of these tables.
The casino features 2 roulette tables – one table features American Roulette with double zeros, while the other is an electronic roulette game utilizing the latest technology.
Finally, there are 2 craps tables where they follow standard Las Vegas rules for craps.

The standard rate for two people sharing based on the average for a standard room is $230 USD and you can pay upwards of $500 USD for a more luxurious room like the Presidential suite.

There are plenty of dining options available at the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort which has restaurants open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Zoe’s is a modern restaurant that serves Mediterranean food; Hacienda Kitchen is a restaurant that serves traditional Costa Rican cuisine; Bar Ocho is a casual dining experience with coffee tastings, a taco bar, fresh-caught ceviche and specialty rum cocktails; 18 & Greene is a 1960’s themed steakhouse overlooking the golf course that serves succulent meats, seafood and an assortment of classic side dishes.
